Members of the Decatur-Morgan County Hospitality Association are actively involved in the community, providing volunteer and financial support for many of the community’s events and non-profit organizations. In addition to participating in projects that encourage visitors to come and stay in Decatur, the association has also helped promote the city and county to potential residents moving to the area because of BRAC.

- Adopt A Family
We buy gifts for a needy family each year at Christmas. - Welcome Center Popcorn Promotion
Association members provide popcorn and soft drinks for people traveling through Alabama on spring break and encourage them to stay overnight in Decatur-Morgan County. - Ambassadors to City and County Events
Association members assist with registration and welcome tables, provide gift bags, and staff information booths at many local events including:
- Racking Horse Spring and Fall Fish Fry
- Soccer Tournaments
- NAIA Tournament - National Tourism Week
Association members typically do a variety of activities during National Tourism Week each May to promote our area. - Charitable Donations
The Association also provides money in support of various charitable organizations including:
- The Decatur Community Free Clinic
- Enterprise High School Soccer Program
- Decatur General Hospital Foundation
- Carnegie Visual Arts Center- Dragon Fly Trail - BRAC Relocation
Hotel members in the Association work with the local Chamber of Commerce to provide hotel rooms free of charge to potential residents looking to move to this area through BRAC.
